Joe Pete Jams

Joe Pete Jams is the umbrella business entity presenting the music of JOE PETE Wetherbee. That music mainly comes in two sizes, solo (named Joe Pete is 3’N1) or trio (named Joe Pete + 6is9). Both offer roots-oriented rock ‘n’ roll: blues, country, rockabilly, ’50s–’70s rock, folk, Louisiana, and like-minded originals.

Joe Pete has his fingers in a few other pies too. He is involved in country music with Lynette and the Sundowners. He does the occasional gig with his family, wife Ruth Rappaport and son Ben Wetherbee. And Joe Pete is also a frequent guest of the wonderful South Shore (Masschusetts) rockabilly band The Shady Roosters.

Then there is Joe Pete’s past. Yes, Joe Pete has a past. Joe Pete was a central figure in two of Boston’s favorite bands, the Boogaloo Swamis and the Hubcaps. Those bands were and are still led by Joe Pete’s good buddy Mickey Bones. Either of these bands could be called into action by contacting Mickey Bones (or Joe Pete to put you in touch with Mickey).

Check out the schedule page to find out where the action is. Use the contact page to get in touch and hire some live music from Joe Pete for your next event.
